Terms of Use
Effective date: 15 October 2026 · Version 2.0
1. About BuDash
BuDash provides a platform that lets buyers choose items from shops listed by BuDash and request a Dasher to buy and deliver them. By creating an account or using BuDash you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding contract.
- You must give accurate information, verify your email address, and keep a strong password. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- One person, one account. Do not share your login.
3. How an order works
- BuDash administrators create shops and list their items. Buyers cannot buy directly from the marketplace.
- A buyer picks items from one shop, chooses an available Dasher and sends a request.
- The Dasher may accept or decline. If accepted, the buyer must pay through the app.
- After payment the Dasher buys the items in person, marks the order "purchased" and shares live location until delivery.
- The buyer confirms delivery and rates the Dasher from 1 to 5 stars.
4. Fees and payment
- The buyer pays: item price(s) + ₦500 delivery fee + a platform fee (the platform fee is shown at checkout before you send a request and grows with the order size). Item prices are set by BuDash and may differ from other prices in the market.
- Payments are processed by Paystack. The item cost plus the ₦500 delivery fee is settled to the Dasher's bank account; the platform fee is retained by BuDash. Settlement timing depends on Paystack and the banks.
- Payment is requested only after a Dasher accepts. Once paid, an order generally cannot be cancelled in the app. Contact us for problems, wrong or missing items, or non-delivery. We will try to help resolve disputes fairly but are not obliged to refund amounts already settled to a Dasher.
- A receipt is emailed to the buyer after payment.
5. Marketplace hours
Orders can be placed and accepted only while the marketplace is open (Africa/Lagos time): Sunday to Thursday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, closed on Saturdays. Hours may change and may be adjusted for holidays or safety.
6. Dashers
- Dashers must pass verification: a clear photo of their real face and a photo of their school ID card. Accounts using fake, misleading or someone else's photos or ID will be rejected or suspended.
- Dashers act as independent individuals, not employees or agents of BuDash. They decide when to go available and which requests to accept.
- Dashers must buy exactly the items ordered, deliver promptly and safely on foot, keep location sharing on during delivery, behave respectfully, and not open, tamper with or keep an order.
- Dashers are responsible for their own taxes and for providing correct bank details.
7. Buyers
- Provide an accurate drop-off address and be reachable. Confirm delivery only when you have received your items.
- Rate fairly and honestly; abusive comments are not allowed.
8. Prohibited conduct
Do not: use BuDash for illegal, stolen, dangerous or prohibited goods; harass or threaten anyone; submit fake identities; attempt to pay or be paid outside the platform to avoid fees; interfere with or attack the service; scrape data; or manipulate ratings.
9. Ratings and suspension
Dasher job counts and average ratings are public to users. We may suspend or remove accounts for breach of these Terms, fraud, safety concerns or repeated complaints.
10. Our role and liability
- BuDash is a technology platform connecting buyers and Dashers. We do not manufacture or own the goods and are not a party to the physical purchase.
- The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, delivery times or that every Dasher will accept.
- To the extent permitted by Nigerian law, BuDash is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for acts or omissions of Dashers or buyers beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
- Where we are liable, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount the buyer paid for that order.
11. Intellectual property
The BuDash name, logo and software belong to us or our licensors. You get a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the service for its intended purpose.
12. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms; continued use after the effective date means you accept them. You may stop using BuDash and request account deletion at any time.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State after good-faith attempts to resolve them informally.
